DEANGELIS BURNETTE - TREASURER, DIRECTOR
DeAngelis Burnette, a proud graduate of Crowley High School, was a standout on the school’s playoff basketball team. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with a minor in Social Science from Northwestern State University in 2011, where he also played on one of the top intramural basketball teams in the state. In 2012, he joined the Louisiana Gators, an ABA team based in Lake Charles, and opened his first barbershop in Crowley, where he has worked as a licensed barber ever since.
Passionate about giving back, DeAngelis has served as a coach and top partner with the Unlimited Acadiana team of Special Olympics Louisiana since 2016. He is also the owner and founder of Weird Clothing, a brand that reflects his creative spirit and commitment to individuality. In addition, he serves as president and treasurer of the 1118 Charity, a community-driven nonprofit focused on mentorship, sports, and leadership. Through his work, DeAngelis remains dedicated to empowering others and uplifting his hometown.

DARIAN ANGEL – PRESIDENT, DIRECTOR
Darian Angel is a dynamic professional who transitioned from standout athlete to successful entrepreneur and marketing expert. A graduate of Crowley High School and former star on its basketball team, he went on to major in Psychology with a minor in Religion at Louisiana Christian University (LCU), where he played a pivotal role in leading the LCU basketball team to a national runner-up finish. His performance earned him a spot on the 1996 National Small College All-Tournament Team.
Leveraging the leadership, discipline, and teamwork honed as a student-athlete, Darian now works in marketing and advertising for live data automotive technology platforms, helping deliver real-time insights and connected vehicle solutions. He is also the co-founder and co-owner of 18 Consulting, a firm focused on providing innovative strategies to help businesses grow. Darian’s journey reflects a powerful blend of athletic discipline, business acumen, and entrepreneurial spirit.

QUESS ANGEL MILLER
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIST
Quess Angel Miller is the Founder of STYILE (Strengthening the Youth in Leadership Excellence), a mentoring program that strengthens connections between students, families, and communities. Using a framework built on six types of parental involvement, STYILE drives engagement through goal-oriented action plans aligned with school improvement efforts, fostering collaboration and student success.
As an empathetic and results-driven Associate HR Business Partner, Quess brings a strong background in HR and education operations. She has led student registration, master scheduling, and new student orientation programs, and implemented systems that improved data accuracy and efficiency. With a Master’s in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, she has championed initiatives to improve employee wellness, reduce absenteeism, and launch impactful HR training programs that align with organizational goals and support a positive workplace culture.

LASHONDA ANGEL-GUILLORY
SECRETARY
LaShonda Angel-Guillory, a proud Crowley High graduate, has built a successful career with the U.S. Postal Service while remaining deeply committed to her community. As secretary of 1118 Charity, she helps lead initiatives like youth programs, feeding the homeless, and supporting nursing homes. She also sells life insurance, helping families plan for the future.
Outside of work, LaShonda is passionate about youth development. She coaches local sports teams, teaching not only athletic skills but also life lessons in leadership, teamwork, and resilience. Through mentorship, she supports students in overcoming academic and personal challenges. Her dedication to service, both on and off the field, continues to inspire and uplift her community. LaShonda’s impact resonates far beyond her immediate community, inspiring others to get involved and give back. Her passion for service and mentorship drives positive change every day. She embodies the true spirit of leadership by empowering others to reach their full potential.
